LIVE SOUND ENGINEER-STAGE MANAGER-BAND TECH-CREW CHIEF
Max
Creek
2004-present. Monitor Engineer/Stage Manager/Band Tech.
Duties include setting up band equipment, line checking, sound checking, and
most importantly keeping musicians happy on stage during the performance.
This regional band has played for longer than I am old. World class sit-ins
from members of the Grateful Dead to the Talking Heads have all graced the
stage while I was working.
Camp
Creek
Stage Manager
A weekend long music festival with mulitple bands playing throughout the weekend.
A simple job combined with the unrealistic pressures of nature, egos, and
time. Working with multiple AV companies, crew and musicians, my job was to
ensure a trouble free weekend. Whether covering gear in the rain, or making
sure the crew got fed, nothing was to small to be overlooked.
Kreutzmann,
Burbridge and Murawski (aka KBM Trio)
2008 Tour Technician/Monitor Engineer/Stage Manager/Driver
That's a mouthful alright. But that's what I do when this band tours. Working
in different clubs, on different gear is a treat and challenge I enjoyed tremendously.
I look forward to more tours with these guys.
Lupo’s Heartbreak Hotel
2004-present. Sound Engineer
A variety of bands keeps it interesting. My most rewarding nights are when
the band needs me to mix for them. I have mixed monitors for NAS, New Found
Glory, Patton Oswalt, South Side Johnny, Wu Tang, Tarrus Riley, Bone Thugs
n Harmony, Ryan Montbleau, and many many others.
Gathering of the Vibes
2005-present. Audio Crew Chief
Together with my small crew, and part of a larger crew, maintained two side
by side 60 foot stages. My crew was responsible for all stage wiring. I was
responsible to make sure my crew did it GREAT. With over 20,000 people in
attendance, I was forced to be on top of my game. During 18 hour days, my
team ensured all was well for The Black Crowes, Phil and Friends, Neville
Brothers, Mike Gordon, and that was only a sampling of the bands during my
four years.
Inspiration Unlimited-China Care Foundation
Part of production crew that produced
shows with Eric Clapton, The Allman Brothers, Bonnie Raitt and Robert Randolph.
Remarkable shows just for there size, less than 400 people at each show, even
more so for the logistics. A custom built stage and tent was just the begining.
Working with multi billion dollar clients was new and exciting. Working with
those artists was even better.
OTHER
I have done AV and Sound work with:
Ryan Montbleau Band, Redken, Paul Mitchell, Emergency Production, Mass AV,
Indigo Design, Atomic Pro Audio, Fungus Amungus, Funkatronic, Rev Tor Band,
Domino Theory, and more. Shows I have been part of include John McCain, in
Warwick and also at Bridgewater Headquarters in CT. I did FOH for Al Dimeola
in Westerly. For an event put on by WBRU featuring Ben Folds Five, I was crewchief
for the day long production. Other clients I have been involved with include
Textron, CVS, Supreme Coucil of the Scottish Rite, Hasbro, Met Life, and more.
For three years I was in charge of the afternoon drive time
slot at WALE990, a talk radio station. My duties included pre production,
setting up and handling on air guests, as well as producing and broadcasting
the weather reports. As important as the live broadcasts, my job was to maintain
our internet streams for worldwide broadcast.
