Bonnaroo
Since the second year of the festival in 2003, I have worked my way up. I started as check-in staff, and within years was supervising the vending check in department. After a couple years doing that, I was stolen from my department to be a supervisor. This job had all sorts of new pressures, as I was the first person to have the job. I am Campground Vending Coordinator. I was there to provide smooth operations for over 60 vendors in a 500 acre campground. With a small team, we ensured that our vendors had everything promised to them in advance, and whatever they needed on the fly. The challenges and long hours are draining, but the experience is unforgettable and rewarding.

I have worked this festival for years. Most recently I was the Stage
Manager. In past years I ran the front gate, set up promotional teams and
was a runner for the site owners and promoters. I look forward to this event
every year, and every year I get a little more responsibility.
Wormtown Music Festival
Supervisor for the Main Entrance Gate. As well as being in charge of
the money on the way into the festival, I had to make sure 24 hour staffing
needs were met. Training, accounting, dinners and lunches, and appearance
of the front entrance all fell to me. Customers first sight was our gate,
and my job was to make sure it went well.
All Good Music Festival
I have worked this festival twice. Once as a traffic supervisor and ticket
taker. The more meaningful job however was my more recent. 2008 I was part
of the Vending Team. I had two different but related parts. One was the setup
and welcoming of the vendors as they entered site. The next was being part
of a new program called Meals On Wheels. A happy staff is a great staff, and
part of being happy was having a good meal. Our job was feeding people at
stationery positions four times a day. Working with our food vendors, we devised
a system to get meals ordered and delivered in a timely fashion. People were
excited that we did our job so well. Look for more Meals On Wheels at other
festivals.
Langerado
Music Festival
Shuttle Driver. Vendors were my client and my job was to make sure they could
overcome the logistical challenges of getting merchandise to their booths
from the storage area.
