HISTORY OF SHOW
Magic Mike has been a host since the begining, back when the show was called Shake You Silly's Out and aired at 3am till 6am. Originally Magic Mike was the co-host of that show with his friend Grizzly Aaron. Hence Grizzly Magic Entertainment.

The duo began booking shows at the Living Room in PRovidence, Using S.Y.S.O. to spread the music of the bands coming through. LIVE MUSICis still a large part of the show thanks to the large community of tape traders. Also some various acts have even performed live in the studio.

Many years and friends later, the duo still works in music. Magic Mike as the sound man for Max Creek and various clubs in Providence such as Lupos Heartbreak Hotel, Century Lounge, Living Room, Hi Hat, and others. Also using his love for music, Magic Mike also DJ's at clubs, weddings and special events through out RI.

Grizzly now runs a music studio recording local and national acts that he met as a booking agent for The Living Room and clubs in CT and MA.

With the many other things the duo had going on, especially since graduation, the duo went from co hosting to alternating weeks. By Now the show had changed names to our Current KIND SOUNDS and moved to a better, and current, time slot of 9pm till midnight..

Grizzly Aaron felt the time crunch more and chose to leave the show. Alternating weeks had been a blessing for Magic Mike. It allowed the audience a more varied musical selection, and him an episode of the simpsons every other week.

Either quit, or move on were Magic's Choices. He Knew a friend with a large collection of live music, a prerequisite for KIND SOUNDS. Thad had previously hinted he would like to do it.

So in 2003 or so, Thad hopped on to be the other host of KIND SOUNDS. The new duo host a few shows together every year, such as the two shows during radiothon weeks. Slightly differing tastes keep the show fresh every week. Audience requests, and the plethora of new and old music keeps both hosts entertained as well. Having Been on the air for more than half a decade, KIND SOUNDS is the longest running Jamband/Jazz/Rock show on the air.

WRIU has been around for over half a century. Always noncommercial, funded through radiothon and run by students, it is by far the best station in RI. Mixing Blues, gospel, reggae, rock and other genres commercial radio won't touch.
